RenewalRescue ("we", "us", "our") operates renewalrescue.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
What we collect
Merchant account data
- Account information: your name and email address when you register.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and timestamps.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe — we never store your card details.
End-customer data (processed on merchants' behalf)
When merchants connect their Stripe account, RenewalRescue receives and processes their customers' data solely to deliver the recovery service. This includes:
- Customer email address and name
- Invoice amounts and currency
- Payment failure reason and attempt history
- Stripe-hosted invoice URLs
RenewalRescue acts as a data processor for this data — the merchant is the data controller and is responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to share their customers' data with us.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve our service.
- To send transactional emails (account, billing).
- To send payment recovery and authentication emails to merchants' customers on merchants' behalf.
- To respond to your support requests.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For merchant account data, we process on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For end-customer data processed on merchants' behalf, the legal basis is determined by the merchant as data controller; RenewalRescue processes this data solely on the merchant's documented instructions.
Third-party services
We use service providers that process data on our instructions. The ones that are central to the product are named below. We may also use additional providers for hosting, content delivery, and application reliability / security monitoring without listing every vendor on this page; a current named list for compliance and enterprise customers is available on request at support@renewalrescue.com.
- Stripe — payment processing and merchant account linking
- Resend — transactional and recovery email delivery
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security (for example, session cookies). Optional cookies or similar technology for analytics and product reliability are only used if you accept them in the cookie notice on our site. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage for renewalrescue.com. You can change your mind by removing that stored preference (for example using your browser's “clear site data” or site storage controls for renewalrescue.com) and visiting again.
Data retention
Merchant account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
End-customer payment activity and notification records are retained for up to 5 years from the date of the transaction to comply with applicable financial recordkeeping obligations (including PSD2 and applicable tax law), after which they are automatically and permanently deleted.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@renewalrescue.com.
